PINNACLE #200 … WELL HEAD LUBRICANT BY SEALWELD

well_head_lube

New to Australia, Pinnacle #200 well head lubricant, is suitable for hydraulic fracturing applications that produce extreme operating conditions

Sealweld® Pinnacle #200 is a synthetic well head body filler lubricant that contains special additives to inhibit rust, corrosion and oxidation in side valve body cavities and reduce friction on moving parts.

ECONOMY AND PERFORMANCE …

An economical solution, Pinnacle #200 has excellent resistance to breakdown and washout in drilling fluids, sour gas and other typical drilling by-products.

Well head gate valves take the brunt of the punishment especially when abrasives like sand and rock contact sensitive sealing areas. The excellent adhesive properties of Sealweld® Pinnacle #200 helps protect seat and stem seals from premature breakdown and washout by forming a barrier around these abrasive particles. These properties make Pinnacle #200 well head lubricant suitable for hydraulic fracturing applications that produce very extreme operating conditions.

This field proven technology combines sensitivity, selectivity and speed through the use of optics and electronics.

Field experience has proven that given adequate survey and meteorological conditions the OMD increases productivity 50% or more over current mobile survey.

A contributing factor to the increased productivity is the instantaneous response to leak indications versus the time delay present with current flame-ionization technologies.

Much of the maintenance associated with flame-ionization units, including moving parts, external fuel gases, outside sources of dust, dirt, moisture and water ingress, is eliminated with the OMD.

Heath_Optical_Methane_Detector_OMD_dashboard

The OMD is mounted on the front of a survey vehicle.

It employs an infrared (IR) light beam that shines across the front of the vehicle. An optical filter in front of the detector transmits methane IR wavelengths from the light source. In the absence of methane, these wavelengths are unaffected and produce a steady output signal from the detector. The presence of methane causes a signal, audio and visual, which is transmitted to the display in analog and digital form inside the vehicle. The OMD can detect leak indications in concentrations of less than 1 part per million (ppm) at 10,000 measurements per second.

OMD-optical-methane-detection

The Heath OMD is calibrated by the driver or technician from inside the vehicle eliminating potential hazards such as explosive calibration gases. Leak indications are both audible and visual inside the vehicle at concentrations of less than 1 part per million (ppm) at 10,000 measurements per second. Data can be sent to a data logger or translated to a ground positioning satellite (GPS) system. Adding-on the Heath Survey Tracker will allow the ability to log mobile leak survey data and GPS locations of all natural gas leaks detected.

Hi-Flow Sampler Fugitive Emissions

THE HI-FLOW SAMPLER QUANTIFIES FUGITIVE EMISSION LOSSES

USE DATA COLLECTED WITH THE HI-FLOW SAMPLER TO DESIGN A MORE EFFECTIVE LDAR PROGRAM

Fugitive emissions are gases released from pressurized equipment due to leaks and other unintended causes.

They mostly result from industrial/petrochemical, oil & gas activities and contribute to air pollution and so, climate change.

For petrochemical companies, fugitive emissions = safety concerns, lost product and economic loss.

But for the wider community fugitive emissions also present other more concerning risks and hazards …

In situations where large amounts of flammable liquids and gases are contained under pressure, leaking compounds increase the risk of fire and explosion.  Fugitive Emissions can also pose long term health risks to workers and local communities.

Methane, carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide emissions can leak from pressurized process equipment through valves, pipe connections, mechanical seals, or related equipment. They can also occur at evaporative sources such as waste water treatment ponds and storage tanks.

To minimize and control leaks operators carry out regular leak detection and repair activities. Until recently this involved relying on gas detectors to identify the presence of leaks and then determine appropriate actions. ‘Bagging techniques’ might then have been used to deduce volumetric measurements of lost product.

However new technologies are now revolutionizing the detection, measurement and reporting of fugitive emissions leading to improved environmental and safety outcomes.

THE HI-FLOW SAMPLER FOR FUGITIVE EMISSIONS IS AVAILABLE FOR HIRE OR PURCHASE …

Heath_Hi-Flow_Sampler

The use of a Hi-Flow Sampler allows operators to calculate the actual volumes of lost product.  The Hi-Flow Sampler is the only commercially available product of its kind and is used world over for fugitive emissions reporting.

The Hi-Flow Sampler replaces traditional bagging techniques and is up to 10 times more efficient for quantifying fugitive emissions.

Flame Ionisation (Ionization) (FID) Gas Detector

THE HEATH DP4 IS A FLAME IONISATION A.K.A. (IONIZATION) A.K.A. (FID) GAS DETECTOR

Heath_DP4

The Heath DP4 is a portable flame ionisation (ionization) gas leak detector for walking and mobile leak surveys.

Whilst (FID) Flame Ionisation technology is now considered to be ‘old’ technology this unit is still widely in use as it is recognised to deliver very reliable results when SEARCHING for hydrocarbons.  This unit is not suited to CLASSIFYING leaks only SEARCHING.

The Heath DP4 has a fast response time due to a strong internal pump as should be used to find HYDROCARBON leaks.   Many other gas leak detectors will be selective to certain hydrocarbons e.g. selective to Methane only.

ABOUT FLAME IONISATION GAS DETECTORS …

When operating a controlled amount of fuel is mixed with a sample and burned. When hydrocarbons are present in the sample, ionization occurs.

This ionisation is electrically measured and converted to a visual indication of hydrocarbon level in PPM via the instrument’s meter. The Heath DP4 reads from 0-10, 0-50, 0-100, 0-1,000, and 0-10,000 parts per million (PPM).
